I didn't understand his choice of POV shifts from chapter to chapter that also plague many popular YA books today. Evans writes a great story for young adults with interesting characters and an exciting storyline. The character of Michael Vey is a great role model for tweens. Sort of like Hunger Games meets Harry Potter meets The Wonder Years. I read it cover to cover in a couple of hours.
